This past weekend wrapped up RSK Tournament’s 2nd Annual Capital Fall Classic Recreational Weekend! All Richmond and Chesterfield Strikers recreational teams U10 and up were able to compete in this end-of-season tournament!
This past weekend wrapped up the U15-U19 State Cup semifinals and finals. 6 out of 8 Strikers teams reached the State Cup final with 3 teams claiming the title. The Striker U19 Elite boys, U15 Elite boys and U15 Elite girls teams were all champions this past weekend.
We are excited to announce the Strikers Before School Program. We are piloting the program this winter and it’s going to be open to any player (any club) ages 13-18. We are happy to include elite level players as well as players aspiring to be elite. Groups are broken up by ability or age depending on who will sign up at certain times.
The Strikers would like to congratulate Richmond United ECNL player Lindsey Romig and former RU ECNL player, Jordan Canniff, who have been selected to the United States Soccer U17 women's national team roster for the 2018 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay. The tournament runs from November 13 until the 1st of December.
Richmond Strikers Rugby will be holding two free Fall Clinics! The clinics are set up for those who are interested in learning about the sport of rugby and are for players of all abilities and ages 4-18.

Today was one of the biggest days in the young careers of players in the Richmond United ECNL program with 11 players signing their National Letters of Intent and/or Commitment to play soccer in college.
Former Richmond Strikers travel soccer and ECNL player, Meghan Hegarty, recently finished playing her impressive collegiate career at the Naval Academy. Hegarty helped Navy to a 16-4-1 season and was rewarded with postseason accolades for her important role in the Midshipmen’s midfield.
Brian Ownby, who grew up in Glen Allen and played for the Richmond Strikers at the travel and academy levels, is now one game away from lifting the USL Cup for the professional soccer team Louisville City FC.
