 Will Bates, Futsal Director
Will Bates is the Richmond Strikers Futsal Director. Bates is a native of Chester, Virginia where he grew up playing for local clubs Chesterfield United (now Chesterfield Strikers) and the Richmond Strikers. Bates played collegiately at the University of Virginia where he helped lead the 2009 team to a National Championship during his freshmen year. During his youth and collegiate career, Bates was a regular member of the U15, U17, U18, and U20 U.S. Youth National Teams. 
Following a 4-year career at UVA, where Bates finished as the 7th All-Time leading scoring in program history, Bates was drafted and played for the Seattle Sounders FC of Major League Soccer in 2013 & 2014. Following his professional career and life in the Pacific Northwest, Bates moved back to Richmond where he pursued a master's degree in Sports Leadership through Virginia Commonwealth University's Center for Sports Leadership program. 
Like all Strikers Futsal Academy coaches, Bates is a licensed futsal coach. He also has his U.S. Soccer C License, along with coaching education experiences and influences from France, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, and South Africa. These experiences will help shape the futsal program's game model and style of play, built around individual skill development and decision making. 
 Bruno Ramos, Assistant Boys Futsal Director
Bruno Ramos was born in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil in 1994. He was raised in a culture of soccer and futsal. His father played futsal and soccer professionally and helped Bruno develop a passion for the game. Bruno moved to the US in 1998 and grew up in Alabama. Prior to moving to Virginia, Bruno had a brief stint playing for professional Mexican club C.F. Monterrey's U14/U15 youth academy team. 
He joined the Richmond Strikers as a U15 and played until U18, around the same time he was graduating from Hermitage High School. Upon graduating high school, Bruno immediately joined RVA FC, Richmond's first NPSL team. RVA FC went on to win the NPSL National Championship that year. Bruno recently played professionally for the Harrisburg Heat of the MASL in 2017.  He was under the leadership of coach Denison Cabral, who captained the US National Futsal team in the 2008 FIFA Futsal World Cup. In Bruno's first game as a Harrisburg rookie, he scored two goals to give Harrisburg the win, while also securing Man of the Match and Team of the Week honors. 
Bruno has been coaching with the Richmond Strikers for 5 years and his current role is the Director of the Boys Advanced Development Program and Assistant Director of Futsal. Bruno is a US Futsal licensed coach and will also receive his USSF D license in July. 
 Morgan Singer, Assistant Girls Futsal Director
Morgan Singer is the Strikers Futsal Assistant Girls Director.  She is a native of Yorktown, Virginia, where she grew up playing for Virginia Legacy. Following her youth career, she attended and played collegiately at Lynchburg College.  In 2014, she captained the Lynchburg College Women's Soccer team to a Division III National Championship, conquering an undefeated season. Morgan finished her collegiate career as a two year captain and the 4th all time leading goal scorer in Lynchburg College program history.  
While attending school in Lynchburg, Morgan began her coaching leading a local private school where she spent 3 seasons coaching middle school girls soccer.  Her next stop took her to Charlottesville, VA where she pursued her master's degree in kinesiology at the University of Virginia. While there, Morgan coached at the local club, SOCA, as well as at Western Albemarle High School where she led the varsity girls team to the 2017 VHSL State Championship.  
In 2018, Morgan moved to Richmond and joined the Richmond Strikers coaching staff -- working with our youngest travel players, U8-U10, at Longdale. Throughout 2018-19, she served as Assistant Director of Girls ADP, U9 Girls Elite Head Coach, and Assistant Coach for State Runner-Up U11 Girls Elite team.
